'Porthos', a traditional scale American Percheron stallion sculpture! Standing 8 inches tall by 8 inches long, by about 5 inches wide, this chunky hunk was available as a limited edition unpainted resin from December 2021 until spring of 2022. He was hollow cast with steel rod reinforced legs by Jolt Studios!

The concept for his sculpture began all the way back in 2001 with a client custom order that slowly evolved into a full blown sculpture. Progress continued for a few years and the last update on him was posted to my old Hanblechia Studio website back in 2007. By that time I was already suffering early effects of Lyme Disease and was unaware of the future closing of my art studio for a decade. Long story short, it took me a long time to return to working on this piece and now 21 years later, I have finally completed him! PLEASE NOTE: A stallion or gelding American show Percheron should be completed with mane and tail decorations. These were too difficult to have molded and cast with this piece. I will be adding a 'how to' page to make your own (not hard to do!) or you may order your 7 stand up mane decorations (flights) HERE from Horsing Around of England. Tail bows are especially easy to make but are not offered through HA. He would also be suitable for an American Belgian, a Spotted Draft, appaloosa Sugarbush, or other draft breeds.
