Mini "Spinnaker" grade or pony gelding sculpture by  Sarah Minkiewicz-Breunig.  This piece was first produced in unpainted resin through the Realistic Equine Sculpture Society. In late 2006 this sculpture was then released in a very, very small edition of earthenware ceramic. The first several pieces were offered for sale with custom glaze finishes by Adalee Velasquez and Joan Berkwitz. Then 18 unglazed bisques were made available through RESS to glazing artists by lottery. This piece has been entirely kiln fired to a chestnut tobiano/sabino pinto by myself back when I used the name of Paige Easley Patty of Hanblechia Studio. With a pattern inspired by a locally boarded eventing pony, I envisioned this chap to be the embodiment of the Chincoteague pony pawing the sand against the blow of the sea.  This sculpture was sold at auction on Ebay and at the time was my highest selling mini ceramic. Details on this piece include subtle hair pattern edging, hints of hair texture throughout the mane and tail, neck and lip wrinkles, feathers, faintly striped hooves, detailed hoof bottom on raised foot, bi colored eyes, pink muzzle white, and so much more. I went to great length to photograph this and my other glazed Spinnaker WITHOUT glare so that they look very matte finished in these photos. He is actually satin in finish and a little shinier in person.
