This is 'Preciosa' a traditional scale Andalusian 'cobra mare' sculpted by Brigitte Eberl of Germany and produced in fine English bone china bisque by Horsing Around of England.  Here I have claybody customized the mare into a stallion, thickened his shaved tail to be full, wavy and lush, added shoes to his back feet with a double braided mane, long forelock, and tassels. 

/He/ was then custom glazed by myself to a sooty dappled buckskin based on photos the client sent me.  Originally this client was waiting on me to custom gaze another bisque for her, but when I offered up this sculpture she asked to swap her order around and I was happy to accommodate her.

 Now a Lusitano boy, he has been fired repeatedly in my kilns at cone 04 to set his claybody and under glazing work.  Then fired at Orton cone 06 for his satin glaze with glossed eyes, nostrils and hooves.  Afterwards I fired him several more times at cones 016 through 020 for china painting and setting the genuine white gold of his shoes, and the white and yellow gold beads of his tassels.  You can't see it in my photos but his mane and tail have subtle differences in the black, with added deep brown and touches of copper and gold accents to bring out the hair texture even in his braids.  Alas this can only be seen in person in good light and not in my photos but he is packed with subtle details, wrinkles, ermine spots, etched hair detail in his mapped white markings, pink nose, subtle layers of hoof detailing and more.
