Custom glazed 'Carlito' in traditional scale fine bone china, sculpted by Brigitte Eberl to a black homozygous tobiano with sunburnt tips to his mane and tail. Blue eyes, ergots, wrinkles, sweat wrinkles, subtle hair pattern, etc and all fired in the kiln with satin finish and glossed eyes/hooves. This is the piece that won the Overall Custom Glaze Championship for Breed at Breakables Live at Breyerfest in Lexington, KY this year.  Lots of hair texture on this boy that I painstakingly hand painted into his blacks.  There may be a hint of it showing in these photos but ultimately I just had to give up trying to find the right adjustment to make it pop.  Right click on smaller images to open them larger.
