An older painting I did years ago and gave to my parents, this one returned to me after they passed away.  Recently I have reworked this piece all over again in 2020 to fine tune and add a great deal more texture.  Softer, more impressionistic colors, somewhat looser than the original with more atmospheric effects.  These gnarled tree roots lay upon the beach on Little Tybee Island off the coast of Savannah, GA where my husband and I often used to like to walk.  There are warm memories of fine summers wrapped up in the creation of this painting.
