This is the mini 'Hadrian' sculpted by Sarah Rose and produced in earthenware ceramic by Joan Berkwitz of Pour Horse Pottery. Here I have custom glazed him as a portrait of a client's Icelandic in silver dapple grulla.  She provided all of his reference photos for his color.  This piece is VERY subtle in person and packed full of details that my camera was unable to pick up well. He has very subtle soft dappling, a silvery sheen to his mane, tail, and feathers, a dorsal stripe with subtle shoulder barring, subtle leg barring, a hair pattern whorl down the front of his neck with faint neck wrinkles around his upper chest, creamy fluff inside of his ears rimmed with dark edges, multi-colored eyes, and much more. Completed with a satin glaze finish with glossy eyes and hooves - he even has a pink snip.
