What may be a hobby knock off of a Breyer produced back in the 1970's in earthenware, this is the traditional scale 'Legionario' Iberian stallion. I have done /extensive/ claybody resculpting to this bisque to refine and clean him up as he was a very coarse craft quality casting with bad seams, gloppy face and ears, no chest muscling and very little detail.   I repaired his broken back leg in the kiln, added feathers, refined his head and ears a great deal, added a lot of detail such as wrinkles and more muscling.  I then custom glazed him to a black & white tobiano pattern based on a real horse my client wanted to memorialize.  He is completed in satin glaze with china painting to push his dark greys and blacks into a wide range with soft grey highlights. Hints of gold and silver in his mane, tail and feathers.  Client custom order portrait of a real horse a dear friend of hers lost recently.
