Traditional scale fine bone china 'Valentin' sculpted by Brigitte Eberl and produced in bisque by Horsing Around of England. This Ardennes draft horse stallion been custom glazed to a bay roan with soft reverse dappling and pangare by Hyn Patty (Paige Easley Patty), 2021.  Shown here before I fire on his final white gold accents for his shoes.  This piece was completed using several layers of under glazes fired several times at cone 04 before applying the satin clear glaze with gloss for the eyes, nostrils, and hooves.  Then he was finished using over glazes in the form of china paints to punch up his final colors, add a silvery sheen to parts of his mane and tail, and lightly at points over his palest roaned areas.  Details include rippled hair on the front of his hock area of his back legs, hair whorl down the front of his neck with wrinkle ripples, wrinkle patterns behind his front legs and elbows, hair pattern throughout his body and especially his flanks, multi-colored eyes and eyelashes, and so much more.  All work has been entirely set by firing in the kiln, no cold painting.  I'll update this one with better photos once the white gold accents have been fired to complete his metal shoes.
