Newly completed, this is a sunset as seen departing from Asheville heading westwards but with a few artistic changes.  While I often grumble that driving into Asheville, NC in the mornings has the sun in my eyes, and driving back out again in the evening /also/ has the sun in my eyes, I certainly can't complain about the gorgeous orange and purple sunsets!

This small 7 x 14 oil painting is one of a series of small painting sketches that may be used for much larger paintings.  Done in oils, this piece is varnished and has a hand made custom float frame.  Currently this painting is on display and available through the Asheville Gallery of Art.  Shipping is available for an additional cost and a small giclee canvas print edition is likely later.
