Newly completed, this is a sunrise as seen looking eastwards along a favorite portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway south of Asheville, NC.  Nothing quite like getting up very early in the morning and riding my motorcycle up high for a day of painting in the mountains!  Such rich colors in the mornings and sometimes much different from the sunsets in the evenings.

This small 7 x 14 oil painting is one of a series of small painting sketches that may be used for much larger paintings.  Done in oils, this piece is varnished and has a hand made custom float frame.  Shipping is available for an additional cost and a small giclee canvas print edition is likely later.
