This is the English Fine Bone China 'Carlito' sculpted by Brigitte Eberl of Germany and produced in limited edition of 50 pieces by Horsing Around of English.  Most of the edition was offered in original finish china painted colors with options to order custom glazed or bisque pieces.  The edition of course sold out in a few minutes and I was able to snag /three/ of this piece in unglazed bisque.  One I purchased myself and two more through clients.  What a lovely equine sculpture!  Shown below winning Overall Grand of the Custom Glaze Division at GLC No Frills (a live show) on 02-24-24.  Photo by Molly Benstein and used by permission.

This particular Carlito bisque was put to public offers to be sold and customed glazed for the highest offer.  His new owner requested a bay roan and sent me a few photos from which to work.  I first under glazed this boy with a bay color ticked with his roaning pattern.  Several layers and details later, and after firing him to cone 04 in one of my kilns, I then clear glazed him with a satin glaze but with high gloss for his eyes, inside of his nostrils, and his hooves.   Afterwards I fine tuned and finished him up with several over glaze (china paints) firings at cone 017.  All work is completely fired in the kiln between 1945 F and 1370 F.
