Mini Draft Horse sculpted by Maureen Love and produced in California by the Hagen Renaker company in earthenware ceramic.  Originally a light grey, I got this piece from a fellow custom glazer who had attempted a repair and glazed him to a glossy black.  At some point the kiln repair failed and he lost an ear.  With permission, I have managed to salvage the piece with new kiln repairs, claybody customized him with a stud bridle, and lightened his color back up.  Now custom glazed to a dappled grey in satin finish, all work is entirely fired in the kiln between cones 04 and cone 016.  Most of his colorwork has been completed using over glazes, both enamels and china painting by myself.  Not for sale, he now resides in my personal collection.
